As you can see, looking at the pictures with links to bigger ones, I
understand nature quite broad. From fall colours of trees and shrubs to
a beautiful sunset. From flowering haselnut catkins to any butterfly on
a flower.
You don't have to
go far from home to make the most fascinating photographs. Many of them
I just made in our own large garden-park or not far away of it. Also
many slides in a 'recent era'. Now, at the moment I write this, Dec.
3rd, we sold our house in Nijensleek and next year we will move to a new
home in Dalfsen, not far from Zwolle. New surroundings - new challenges!!
I am looking forward to it, to stroll around in a new region with the
river 'Vecht', heatherfields and vast woods.
But I also hope,
that new trips next year 2008 will give me a lot of opportunities to
photograph, nature and culture. Like a trip to the Algarve in Portugal,
and visiting the USA and the ARS Convention in the state Oklahoma. I'll
inform you as good as I can.
We all should
have an open mind to see the beauty of nature, better than to be bored,
hanging around in a chair.........The world is so wonderful, that it
would be a waste of time and talent not to go around and admire it. I
have also dreams, like to visit Alaska, New Foundland, Eastern Canada,
South Africa with its treasures of flowers etc.
Anyway -
this winter I have plenty to do: scanning thousands of slides of trips
before. Time consuming, but nice, because I will go through memories of
trips in the past......
